Mature and Older Workers Survival Guide: Courtesy of the Employment Guide and the AARP

Greetings Orlando! It is midweek and things are hectic here in the Employment Guide office. I have just finished setting up our sister blog the Tampa JobSpot, which has all the great features of this blog and will focus on all the great happenings, openings and employers in the Tampa and St Petersburg region.

One quick note: the Tampa Job Fair, in conjunction with the AARP is coming up quickly. If you are relocating or know someone in the Tampa, FL area tell them that this is a can't miss event. It will take place on September 26th at Raymond James Stadium in the heart of Tampa from 10am-3pm. Visit their blog or the Tampa Employment Guide for more info!

Now back to your regularly scheduled program!

Okay, back here in Orlando things are heating up as we get ready for our Summer's Over and AARP Job Fair. Our event will be October 4th at Valencia Community College(East Campus) and will feature an amazing blend of job seekers. We will have the college crowd, our job seekers and loyal Employment Guide readers as well as members of the AARP. These job fairs have started with amazing praise all across the county with over 2,000 attendees at the Atlanta Event.

To gear up for these events the Employment Guide has created an amazing eBook titled 'The Mature Worker Survival Guide.' I just ran through my copy and I must say that it is an amazing resource for anyone that is feeling a little older (or mature) and looking to start a new career or job opportunity.

The guide covers topics ranging from:
-Preparation: Where to look for a new job or career
-Cover letters and Resumes for the Older Worker
-What to do at a job fair and how to get the most from your valuable time there!
-Acing the Interview Tips and follow up procedures
-How to keep the job! Great for Older Workers who are looking to fit in and make the most of their new and exciting opportunity!

To get your very own FREE copy of the Older Worker Survival Guide please visit The Older Worker section of the Employment Guide online! This guide is 56 pages of jam packed information and insight to the life of a job seeking Mature or Older Worker.

Happy hunting Orlando. We look forward to seeing you shortly at our next event and be sure to say hello to our friends over in Tampa!
