The Orlando Employment Guide Job Fair and Rock For Hunger

At last Thursday's Fall Job Fair we had a special booth participating. Rock For Hunger is a new not-for-profit foundation that is working day and night to end local and global hunger, poverty and homelessness. For this special occasion we help a peanut butter and jelly drive to help their Monday Night Feedings. The event was a huge success, as Rock For Hunger was able to collect over 30 jars to benefit our community. Thank you to everyone who participated.

One quick note is that the Rock For Hunger II Concert is coming Saturday November 10th at Backbooth and the adjacent parking lot. It will feature 20+ bands on 2 stages and will be headlined by Epitaph recording artist, Sage Francis. Tickets are only $10 and each ticket sold directly feeds 40 people!

The Orlando Employment Guide is proud to be a partner with this organization and we hope that the Orlando and Central Florida community can join in to make the world a better place, one city at a time!

The Rock For Hunger Booth was great, and I was excited to see how much buzz it generated at the event!
At one point I had to cover a booth for a vendor because they wanted to get information on how she could volunteer. I also had several vendors talk to me about how their company could get involved.
It is a great cause and a great organization. I know that we are very excited to be working with a group who works so hard to help make Orlando a better place to live as we share in that same vision.
