Employment Guide Lends a Helping Hand (Also Mid-Florida Tech)

This week was a special week for me. I am part of the non-profit organization, Rock For Hunger, and we held our annual music festival this weekend. To read more about that, head on over to their site. Also on Saturday, one special member of the Rock For Hunger family was able to better his life through the joined efforts of Rock For Hunger, The Employment Guide (read: Miss Kathy Knauer) and Mid-Florida Tech. Everyone was able to come together and get Tim Schuder into a Forklift Certification Course offered at MFT. I met up with Tim briefly last night and he showed me his new card, and explained a little about the course and the class tests. He said he was the only one to ace both the written and driving portions of the test.

Moments like these surely make it seem like we are doing good for a thriving community. Orlando is pretty awesome and I am glad to be around such a supportive team here at the Orlando Employment Guide. We are already in the process of finding a full time long term employment solution for Tim through EG.com and our print publication.

Oh and Tim is still the official model for our Rock For Hunger gear.

It was a great feeling to see someone improve their life situation because of things we have done. Good luck to Tim. I look forward to doing more things like this in the community.

That is really great to actually see a company step outside of their corporate infrastructure and put aside capital gains in order to help a neighbor out. Kudos Employment Guide and Mid-Florida Tech!
