Job Motivationphoto by moragcasey

Every once in a while we need something inspirational to kick our day off. Job hunting can be a draining experience and the longer it drags out the harder it is to back out there and give it a shot.

Today I wanted to share 5 sites that give daily doses of inspiration. The kind of inspiration that will get your mind back on track, thinking about the possibilities and the satisfaction that being productive and focused will bring you. Take in these sites with caution, as they may cause you to take action in your life that will spring positive change!

Written by Jonathon Mead, Illuminted Mind gives you a take on being your own individual, living on your own terms. While you goal may not be to work for yourself, the ideals in this site are nothing short of inspirational. From his free resources like the Zero Hour Workweek to his take on Why People Hate Productivity, Jonathon is one that tells it like it is and gets your mind filled with creative visions of where your life could be if you took an initiative to be great!
This guy is the "definition" for the word motivation. You can't help but feel better after after listening to Tony for a few minutes. Luckily on his blog he takes to video to get most of his messages across. He has 2 special videos that are sure to get you ready to tackle anything that comes your way. One features an Orlando local who had the best day of this life while working through a disastrous hurricane. The other shows why some people succeed after learning a new skill and why others continue doing the same bad results producing activities even when they know better.

Zen Habits

Zen Habits LogoWritten by Leo Babauta, Zen Habits focuses on the little things in life that make the biggest difference and impact towards your productivity. This includes your health, fitness, the clutter in your life and finding simplicity in the chaos of the world. Stop by for one of his doses of inspiration and see your days get better as you read every word.
The Happiness Project
Written by author Gretchen Rubin, the Happiness Project is a memoir of the year I spent test-driving the wisdom of the ages, the current scientific studies, and the lessons from popular culture about how to be happy--from Aristotle to Martin Seligman to Thoreau to Oprah. This is a great site to get small doses of how to be happy even when stressed, faced with adversity or just looking to bring sunshine on a rainy day.
Work Happy Now is a fun blog about careers and getting into a state of happiness at your job and in your life. Written by Karl Staib, the site claims that "a happy environment is more productive and profitable, and that is something everyone can do to improve the company culture." This is true whether you are in a job or not and Carl's laid back writing style will have you in the right mood for the opportunity when you walk into a interview, get the job and start enjoying your time at your desk!

Take a look at these 5 sites and let me know some others that you find give you that inspirational jolt to get your day started or take you out of a mental rut.

Best of luck in your job search and keep your job seeking questions coming!

Tony Robbins is my favorite above all. He's a genius in motivation.
